In 2024, Lakeland Dairies significantly exceeded its employee wellbeing milestone by implementing ten initiatives, well above the target of three. This achievement reflects the company’s deep-rooted commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture across its operations.

A cornerstone of this progress was the continued rollout of the Laya Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which provides confidential support services to employees and their families. This initiative ensures that staff have access to professional guidance on mental health, financial wellbeing, and personal challenges, reinforcing the company’s holistic approach to employee care.

Lakeland Dairies also expanded its Wellbeing Programme, which focuses on five key pillars: Mental, Physical, Social, Financial, and Work Wellbeing. This comprehensive wellness framework empowers employees to take proactive steps toward healthier lifestyles, while also encouraging a sense of community and shared purpose within the organisation.

Further demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity and work-life balance, Lakeland Dairies introduced full pay for maternity leave and partnered with Platform55 to deliver targeted sessions and 24/7 resources on parenting, different life stages, career coaching, and leadership masterclasses. These events provided practical tools and guidance for employees and managers navigating both professional development and family responsibilities, reinforcing Lakeland Dairies’ belief in supporting the whole person, not just the employee.
