In 2024, Do Me A Flavour deepened its commitment to employee wellbeing, creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment. The number of employees participating in health and wellness initiatives increased from two in 2023 to six in 2024, exceeding the company’s milestone target by 50%. This growth reflects a broader cultural shift within the organisation, where wellbeing is increasingly prioritised as part of daily working life.

A key development was the establishment of a dedicated wellness space, designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing. This space has been thoughtfully set up to accommodate religious customs, providing a quiet and respectful environment for reflection, prayer, or rest. The company has also taken steps to support Muslim colleagues during Ramadan by offering flexible working hours to facilitate prayer and fasting, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.

Social connection and mental health have also been central to the company’s wellbeing strategy. Monthly ‘Coffee and Chat’ sessions have become a regular fixture, offering staff a relaxed setting to connect, share, and unwind. These gatherings help reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety, particularly in a small team environment, and have proven to be a valuable tool in promoting a sense of belonging and community.

To further enhance the impact of these sessions, themes of mindfulness and mental health awareness were introduced later in the year. These discussions have encouraged open dialogue around wellbeing topics and provided staff with practical tools to manage stress and maintain balance. By creating a safe space for these conversations, Do Me A Flavour is helping to break down stigma and foster a more supportive workplace culture.
