In 2024, Stillgarden Distillery continued to enhance its urban biodiversity efforts, increasing the number of pollinator-friendly zones from four in 2023 to five, successfully meeting its milestone target. These zones form part of the company’s broader commitment to sustainability and community engagement, transforming its surroundings into a haven for pollinators and native wildlife.

A key highlight of the year was the establishment of a new orchard, designed to attract both wildlife and pollinators. This was complemented by the creation of a wildflower area along the riverbank estate, further enriching the local ecosystem. These initiatives not only support biodiversity but also contribute to the company’s unique visitor experience, blending nature with innovation.

Stillgarden also partnered with Dublin City Council to plant 60 trees in 2024, reinforcing its role as a proactive environmental steward within the urban landscape. In addition, bee hives were installed on-site, supporting local pollinator populations and aligning with national biodiversity strategies such as the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.

Through these actions, Stillgarden Distillery demonstrates how a small urban business can make a meaningful impact on biodiversity.
