In 2024, East Coast Bakehouse successfully maintained 100% certified sourcing for three key raw materials - butter, oats, and wheat flour - demonstrating its continued commitment to responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency. This achievement reflects the company’s alignment with its Origin Green sustainability targets and its dedication to supporting certified Irish agriculture.

All butter used in production was sourced from suppliers certified under the Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS), maintaining the 100% target set in 2023. To ensure compliance, East Coast Bakehouse’s technical and supply chain teams conduct annual verification of SDAS certification with their key dairy suppliers. This proactive approach ensures that all dairy inputs meet rigorous sustainability and quality standards.

Similarly, the company maintained 100% certified sourcing of oats from suppliers approved under the Irish Grain Assurance Scheme (IGAS). This target was achieved through annual certification checks carried out by the technical and supply chain teams, who confirm IGAS or Red Tractor certification status via direct supplier communication. This process ensures that all oats used in production are traceable and responsibly grown.

Wheat flour sourcing also remained fully certified under IGAS from 2023 through 2024. As with other raw materials, East Coast Bakehouse's teams verify certification status anually through supplier engagement. This consistent approach across all key ingredients reinforces the company's commitment to sustainable sourcing and strengthens trust with both suppliers and consumers.
